Joe: I saw an inquiry that you had made over at sfsignal.com. You were looking for a particular book and described the following: Plot: USA is about to fall apart. The President hires people to design a spacecraft and biologically engineer what looks like the aliens driving it. He intends to crash it into a city. I read the same book back in the 70's but can't remember the title. Did you ever find it?

Jack, I'm happy to hear I didn't dream that novel up in my head after reading Watchmen (which has a strikingly similar turn of plot). Still haven't found out what that book was, more's the pity.
