Goodreads asked Tabitha Vohn:

What are you currently working on?

Tabitha Vohn Growing up, my dad had this really creepy friend, whom I would describe as having Norman Bates-syndrome. You know the type: they're awkward and geeky and have few normal relationships to speak of. Teased as a kid, bad relationship with "mother", and about one tick away from a complete psychotic meltdown. Anyway, my dad kept up a friendship with him for many years out of misplaced sympathy. But this was a guy who would hug you for too long, watch you too closely...you get my drift. Even as a child, something in my gut would warn me that something wasn't right about him. I was always waiting for that "frayed wire" to snap. I still expect to see him on the news one day.

My latest novel looks at a young woman who is placed in a situation (while alone with a family friend) that-shall we say-doesn't end well. The rest of story will explore what it's like to pick up your pieces after a traumatic, life-altering event. It's about the people who "save" us, the ones that see us through the trenches of life, and about understanding the ones who drag us into those trenches.
