Goodreads asked Kimberly Brouillette:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Kimberly Brouillette When I am faced with writer's block, as I was recently, I do my best to work on other portions of the story that won't be affected by that particular issue. Recently, I was having an issue on what to do about my prologue for book 3, Method in the Madness. While I was thinking about the perfect solution to my major challenges, I was able to skip past it and write the first 5 chapters before I had to get back to it. I had spent over a month contemplating what to do, but I had not resolved it by the time I had completed those chapters. I was able to finally work through it by talking with my fiance about the main issues I was having. That gave me the different perspective I needed in order to figure out the solution. Now, I am very happy with what I have come up with. I hope you will be too.
