What’s the best thing about being a writer?

Matthew Alan Being a writer, and having an outlet for expressing thoughts, especially when you find an idea in a moment of clarity/inspiration, is incredible. The chance to take a very simple thought and expand it into an entire novel, allowing that momentary expression to grow into something more permanent, is also such a rush. Combine that process with the chance to have an impact (ideally positive) on a reader and the feeling that someone might actually feel better, think harder, contemplate society at large, after reading one of my books, makes it all worthwhile.

Sometimes I might forget that simple fact, but I hope i never stop appreciating and striving for something more with this opportunity!
