I don't know that I've ever really had what I would consider writer's block. I have had instances where I needed to figure out how the story would develop. I believe that is a different issue altogether. But as for a full writer's block, I have been lucky not to have suffered this phenomenon.
I have had several discussions with other authors who believe to just get something down on 'paper'. Even if it stinks, you can go back and pull out threads that work and go from there.
