I was completely delighted with the ending of Thorn...l loved the way the characters were left grappling with the actual effects of their decisions instead of being tied up in a charming bow, with all loose ends clipped! I know you have said you will not revisit Alyrra, but l feel like the Sorceress has legs. Possible she will appear in future novels? PS, oops! Misspelled your name in my review, now corrected!

Hi Nancy!
I'm so happy you liked the end of Thorn--it felt right to me, but I know many readers expect are more "happy" end to their happily ever after. I like to think of it as realistically happy. ;)
There are also definitely some loose ends, and I do intend to come back to play with a few of them (and you're right, the Lady will make a reappearance!). I have a free short story out titled "The Bone Knife" that introduces a new heroine, Rae. She will be the main character in a story I have planned that will take her to the king's city. We will get to see Alyrra and Kestrin through her eyes, as well as take on one of the big issues left unanswered in Thorn: what happens to all the people who disappear. Also, I love Red Hawk, so you can expect more of him too! ;) It will be some time, though, before Rae's story is ready. I'm sorry about the wait!
Thanks so much for writing, and for your wonderful review!

Hello! I can't tell you how much I love your books! I have read Thorn three times. Your books have been a great gift for me. I have a few questions . . . 1. Did you have the plots for Theft of Sunlight and Darkness at the Door in mind when you began writing Thorn? 2. Do you have favorite re-imagined fairytales by other authors? 3. Are you planning to write any more books in the Dauntless Path series?
