A Goodreads user asked G.K. Parks:

How long is the way between writer's mind and hand? Best regards: A. Tomov - junior

G.K. Parks Honestly, it depends. It took months to come up with the idea for my first novel, but once I put pen to paper (or rather hands to keyboard) it took three months to write the first draft. Then almost double or triple that to edit and rewrite portions. Now, seven books in, the ideas tend to flow more easily, but the actual writing process takes longer and the editing and rewriting take less time.
