Sorry for the delay on this, but I wanted to respond to your question about my inspiration. I saw that you read The Ridge. Hope you liked it! For that particular book, I used to chaperone a field trip to Wolf Ridge Environmental Learning Center in northern Minnesota. As an English teacher, I have always enjoyed telling stories, so I used to tell the students ghost stories up there. Over the course of a few years, one of the stories took shape and I wrote it down. Eventually it became The Ridge. So, in this case, my inspiration was the north woods, my students and my love for ghost stories. Hope this helps and feel free to keep the questions coming!
