My mother & 13 year old nephew were born in Lithuania. We all read your "Between theShades of Gray" & Loved❤️ It! (It even was requiredreading in his school). I can't wait to get a copy of your " Salt to the Sea" so we can all share it with each other. Do you think a 14 year old boy would appreciate it as much as a girl would since, most of the characters in "Salt to the Sea" are young girls?

There are four main characters in "Salt to the Sea," - two young men and two young women. So I think a boy would also enjoy it!

My daughter requested to read 'Between Shades of Gray' for Gr8 English. Given the subject matter, I read it too. THEN told my mother she better read it too - brought back many memories for her (as a refugee from Latvia). She talked a bit more about that time period after reading it. Congratulations, looking forward to reading Salt to the Sea! Were you able to use family testimony at all?
