Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Roland Hess The whole "Lincoln, Fox and the Bad Dog" series began with the idea "What if we stripped Doctor Who to its most basic elements, swapped the Britishisms for Americanisms, then put it back together again?" That idea evolved over a couple of years and several false starts into what became the story of Lincoln, his magical gun and his demigod dog companion.
