Have you read Odette, by Pennie Starns? Odette was imprisoned in Ravensbruck and managed to survive. I'm looking forward to your book, and trying to decide whether to listen or read.

I must have missed Odette but I will put it on my TBR for sure. Thank you for the recommendation--thought I'd read every book about Ravensbruck but apparently not!
And listen vs. read? That's a tough one. I would probably read it first, that way you can imagine the voices your way. Then if you want to hear the voice actors' interpretation of it you can listen. That said, the audio book does make it come alive. When I received my audio copies from the publisher I thought I'd skip around and listen to a few scenes and ended up listening to the whole thing. Kathleen Gati who plays Kasia had me crying in so many parts. She's so good.

No matter what else I have read hasn't compared to how much I relate to each of the women's stories you write about.
