"Captain Crook-Kitten of the Sea" was inspired by a kitten I found where I work. I rescued the little Furball of Terror. Her looks and actions, plus my love of pirates, inspired the story. She is black and white, with a black patch over one eye, has a little crook at the end of her tail where it was broken, I assume, and she likes to sit on my shoulder like a parrot.
