Which book is being discussed here? I hope it's A Gentleman In Moscow! I've read it twice, ordered another book and mailed it to my brother. How you can write a novel about a man who never leaves his hotel and make it so magical and entertaining still amazes me. Count Rostov has become one of my all time favorite characters. I have told so many people about this book because nothing else comes close to it.

I realized this morning that your "Rules of Civility" is the book I've most often recommended this year. I read it last year, then convinced my book club to read it this fall so I could take my time with it to savor the gorgeous language, to enjoy the storytelling and complex characters, to appreciate the subtle hints along the way. Just wanted to say "Thank you" for this gift. (Apparently, my "question" needs a ?)
