Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Steph Lau I got the idea for The Abominable Snow Dancer by using rhyming wordplay to generate picture book ideas. What started as "sweaty yeti" turned into an idea about a gym rat yeti, which then transformed into a story about a yeti who longed to dance. After developing the idea further, I realized the book was really about secret dreams - the ones that feel too big and shiny for a person like you - and how you can find the courage to leap boldly after them.
