Would you ever write a book about the Borgias? I would give anything to see the tale you could spin for the Borgias!
C.W. Gortner
Hi Rebecca,
Thanks for asking. I actually have written a book about Lucrezia Borgia, covering her tumultuous, dramatic youth in the Vatican. The working title is "Borgia's Daughter" and it will be published in 2016 by Ballantine Books / Random House in the US, and Hodder & Stoughton in the UK. There's currently a listing for the UK edition here on Goodreads, but the 2015 pub date is wrong. It won't be out until early 2016. My next novels are "The Tudor Vendetta," out on October 21, and "Mademoiselle Chanel", which will be out on March 17, 2015.

Hello Mr Gortner, first I have to say that I really like your books. Till now I've read your novel about Isabella of Castile and The Confessions of Catherine de Medici; I really like your style so here is my question; Did you ever consider to write about a male monarch, like Ludwig II king of Bavaria? Or Frederick the Great, king of Prussia? I would really love to see that kind of story :D

I'm reading your book about Isabella of Castile (and loving it so far!) and I was thinking "there is no way the author isn't spanish, this world is too well known". I am spanish and I'm glad to read in your bio that you hold such love for Spain and its history. I was wondering how do you do the research process. And do you watch the tv show "Isabel"? I think you'd love it! Lots of love from Murcia :).

Hi, my name is Cintia and I'm from Argentina. Being a writer is what I want the most in this world, nothing makes me happier than writing, but I'm more and more frustrated with each passing day, because I've been blocked for 3 years. And it is not that I have an unfinished story. I have NOTHING AT ALL. A blank page in front of me, that only makes me sadder... Is there a way to overcome this? How do you handle it?
