Goodreads asked Garrett Miller:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Garrett Miller For me, writer's block is not about an inability to create content it is about finding and securing the time to write. I find that what 'blocks' my writing is life. There is always something that will eclipse an opportunity to write. If I'm not careful I'll let the mundane push into my writing space.
I've discovered that inorder for me to write I need to have few distractions and with 3 great kids, an awesome wife and my work, that is difficult. I've found that early in the morning is best because it is quietest. My first two books were written mostly between the hours of 2-3am. I'd get up to write for an hour and then go back to sleep.
Beating writer's block for me is about creating an environment where I can think. The content is there, I just need to give it the time and space to percolate.
