As a fellow Mount Holyoke alumna, I was happy to see many strong, female characters in your books. How, if at all, did your time at a women's college influence your ability to bring these characters to life?

Deborah Harkness hello fellow alum! I suppose I wanted to share a bit of the Mt. Holyoke magic with those not fortunate enough to have attended our wonderful college. People always ask me why Diana didn't go to Mt. Holyoke, and I reply that if Diana had gone to Mt. Holyoke there would have been no story because she would have learned to accept her power as an undergraduate! :)
