Really random and I wasn't sure where else to share this, but I finished Skyborn book one (one of the absolute best books I've read ever by the way. Instantly tied with the shadowdance series as one of my all-time favorites), and later I was cruising through YouTube and came across this song by Lindsay Stirling "Take Flight" https://youtu.be/1Boi6PfDeNg Can you hear the entire storyline in it like I can?

First off, glad you enjoyed Skyborn!
As for music, I usually have a couple songs that I was really addicted to while writing each individual book that kind of mentally become permanently associated with that song. And I actually listened to Sterling's Shatter Me album a good amount writing Skyborn, though the one that more stuck with me was Roundtable Rival. It was my favorite song to put on when first starting each day to get me going. Take Flight was pretty good, though :-)
In case you're interested, the others that became associated with various scenes were (gonna keep 'em slightly vague to avoid potential spoilers):
Dark Doo Wop by MS MR (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x0iv8...) was for when Bree is above the storm and below the fire at midnight mourning.
Burn Burn by Nico Vega (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aVD_y...) was anytime either twin was actually having fun zipping around in the air.
Beast by Nico Vega (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k7OYL...) was for the immediate moment Bree donned someone else's wings to avenge a beloved character's death.
No Light, No Light by Florence + the Machine (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HGH-4...) was for Bree's first battle when she, uh, accidentally donned her fire.
Regulator by Clutch (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RV3tx...) was for the ending shot of the entire novel.
There you go. You've got an idea of what kind of music I listen to. I'm sure that was *fascinating*.

Just finished the Breaking World series. I can't WAIT to dive into your other works. I saw the whole thing play out in my head with vivid detail. Portions of the book were visceral, and my excitement was elevated throughout the entire series. Great job to the both of you for your phenomenal creation and portraying it so effectively to your readers. My apologies if already asked, any talks of possible movie trilogy?
