I think this one is a trick question. If I waited for inspiration to float down from the clouds, nothing would ever get done. I treat fiction like my corporate work and set a schedule. I'm very self-directed, so when I plan to write a chapter that day, it gets done, even if I have to throw a few household chores under the proverbial bus.
