Rachael asked Michael Logan:

When did you first contract the madness that is the need to write?

Michael Logan Hi Rachael. Thanks for taking the time to ask a question. It's not quite the first, so somebody has already stomped this virgin snow, but it's pretty close.

I recall writing a short story when I was eight, called My Push Button World. It involved a young lad who, oddly enough, could push buttons to make anything happen: flip up a football pitch with 21 robots to play with and so on. I suspect I was quite a lonely child.

I don't remember if it was any good. Probably not, although my mum assures me she liked it. I didn't really get serious about producing until I was about 30, though. I started off with a lot of literary short stories, then veered into what I do now.

I guess it comes in fits and starts. I went on a spree for five years, but haven't written a word in six months - largely due to having a crazy busy day job and three kids. I can feel my engines revving up again, though.
