How do you know if your character is fully developed? :)

Shannon Messenger Hm, I never really think of my characters in terms of "are they developed." But I know I'm not ready to write them until I know them so well that their dialogue almost feels like it isn't coming from me. It's more like I'm channeling an actual living person in my mind and just writing down what they tell me they're saying.
