Goodreads asked M.T. Murphy:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

M.T. Murphy I have never really had to deal with writer's block. If I hit a wall with one particular story or chapter, I just put it aside and do something else.

For example:

1. Go for a walk.

2. Have some Scotch.

3. Read a book I didn't write.

4. Watch an old Buffy the Vampire Slayer episode. Preferably from season two or three.

5. Have some more Scotch.

6. Thumb wrestle a sasquatch. (Tip: always let them win)

7. Doh. Now I'm out of Scotch.

8. Build a full scale pirate ship in the backyard.

Usually one of these activities will get the old creative juices flowing.
