~Reading Rambler~
~Reading Rambler~ asked Jennifer E. Smith:

What inspired you to become an Author?

Jennifer E. Smith I always knew I wanted to be a writer. I was a huge reader as a kid, and I think there's a natural progression from devouring other people's stories to eventually trying to write your own. But I honestly never thought of writing as a possible career. Growing up, it seemed about as likely as becoming a ballerina or an astronaut...

But here's the thing: writing and publishing are two very different matters entirely. And though I can't say I never dreamed of becoming an author one day, that was never really the point. The point was the writing itself. It was something I loved to do, and I always knew it would be a big part of my life, even if nobody was reading a single word.

So now, all these years later, it’s still kind of amazing to me that my work has been published, and that there are actual people are out there reading it. I feel very, very lucky -- and very, very grateful for readers like you! So thank you...
