Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

James R. Duncan In general, I really like looking at current events, and trying to use literature to find meaning in what seems like a pretty crazy world at times. With Blood Republic, I actually started writing it in 2012, when it seemed the political divisions in the country were getting exponentially worse. Unfortunately, it seems like it has only exacerbated since then, and I'm in now in the weird position of actually hoping my own book does not come true. Haha.
