What’s the best thing about being a writer?

Leslie Nagel It's difficult to choose just one thing! I suppose it's the rush I feel when the writing is going well, when words, phrases, dialog, entire scenes seem to flow effortlessly through my fingertips and into the keyboard. It's exhilarating, like the almost-scared, pit-of-your-stomach rush of riding a bike down a steep hill. Wheee!! That's one reason why I'm such a dragon about prewriting. It's the best possible shortcut to accessing the writing rush.
