Yay! I'm so glad you enjoyed Dragon Slayer Number 9. I hadn't thought about listing it on Goodreads since it's such a short story. Let me check and make sure it can be listed here (I'm not sure if there are any rules about that!). I will get back to you.

And yes! Do read Eggers' book--it's intriguing and thought-provoking. I admit I didn't like the very last, um, action taken by the protagonist. Until that moment, I really wasn't sure if he was purely stable and conflicted, or straight out mentally unstable. I felt like the final action sent it a particular direction that actually reduced the complexity and weight of the story. But still a fantastic read, highly recommended!

Update: Goodreads really prefers if we only list published "books" (and they do describe that in some detail). Right now, with only one short story, I don't think DS9 qualifies. However, if I add in a couple more stories over the year and make it an anthology, that might work quite well... :) Let me think about that a bit!
