Sheila Horton
Sheila Horton asked Christina Dodd:

At what age did you decide you wanted to become a writer? I often have friends tell me I should write a book but at age 52 I think I'm past the age of starting to write a book.

Christina Dodd Do you want to write a book? Write it. Writing is hard work, it's never quite right, it keeps you on your toes, and on those moments when it's good, it's SO GOOD.

Now … will you be able to successfully publish your efforts? Maybe not. That's a different question entirely. Publishing involves social media, professional intelligence, a little legal good sense, and a tough hide (bc not everyone is going to like your story.) So you'd better like the writing process, and if you do, then write for your own satisfaction, your own happiness, and if you make money and get acclaim…YAY! But money and acclaim are a side benefit. The cool part is telling the story you love. You can read a little about my own journey here: http://www.christinadodd.com/meet-chr... and I have writing advice on my website under "Opinions." I suggest you start here: http://www.christinadodd.com/christin... Hope that helps!
