I wasn't aware that you had lost a friend to cancer, that explains the very human feelings that I receive from Hummingbird Cake,,I had two very close friends die May 21 , 2016 from cancer and reading this book helped release some of the feelings I had been holding inside, plus a lot of tears. Just finished your book and was wondering when you'll have another one ready? Yes, I cried during the last few chapter. And yes, I got aggravated, sometimes, with some of the main characters, but it really turned out o.k. Loved "The Secret to Hummingbird Cake!"
