Geoff Cooper asked Ed Cobleigh:

I downloaded your "War For the Hell of It" a couple of days ago and raced through it - then I thought that name rings a bell from the past. I remember you being the US exchange pilot on the Jaguar force at Lossie in the mid/late 70s? My wife Claudie & I live in Bayonne (SW France) - a beautiful area heavy with reminders of Hemingway. Not enough space here to expand. Your book was a great read.. Geoff

Ed Cobleigh Geoff,
Glad you enjoyed the book, Yes, I was on the 226 OCU staff. Check out my second book, The Pilot: Fighter Planes and Paris, it's a novel set in Paris, but with lots of air combat. 4 chapters involve the RAF. Also, my web site, www.edcobleigh.com has 2 blog posts; one on finding Hemingway in Paris and one on flying the Jaguar at Lossie. I'd dig hearing from you at email ehcobleigh@sbcglobal.net or through the web site.
