Laura.....this is one of the most beautiful pictures I have ever seen of an animal ! I have had two Bichon Frises, and have dog sat a little Pomeranian. What kind of dog is this and is she/he always so happy ? You are fortunate. Great photo. Karen

Thanks Karen! This is Winston, a constantly happy Pomeranian. He was abandoned as a 3-month-old puppy at a construction site with a huge bite out of his side. We're assuming his owners ditched him rather than pay a vet. When he came to us he was pretty traumatized. He slept with our son at night and was with one of us all day, every day. He's grown into a dog with lots of personality. He's still extremely sensitive to loud noises and abrupt movements, understandably, and has quite a deep scar. He spent quite a few years pretending he didn't live in a house with a German shepherd (a tolerant and gentle older dog) but happily plays and spars with our toy poodle. You're right, we are fortunate!
