R. Cooper:
Is there any chance of a paperback omnibus of all of Beings in love novels and side stories and shorts and fan requests collected together?
R. Cooper
Oh wow, what a question! Wouldn't that be amazing? As far as I know, no. Dreamspinner is going to do a sale of a few of the Beings books together in a few months (I think?) but no, nothing like that.
But I have kind of wondered what it might take to get Some Kind of Magic in paperback, at the very least. Maybe if there was another novella to pair it with or something... although the way I write these days, it would be much, much longer than the original Ray and Cal story.
And then there's the matter of the shorts (I assume you mean the "official" ones, and not the snippets all over my livejournal and tumblr). Zoe and Cleo's story, for example, isn't Dreamspinner's usual cup of tea. But I do wonder. (And if sales stay okay, maybe I might do another book or shorts, or more novella-length stories. Because all those side characters do tend to show up again, and just... there are all kinds of ideas in my head and I'm not sure how they will end up.)
Oh wait, I just realized you did mean the snippets. Hmm Yeah I wouldn't mind at all having them in a collection. That would be incredible! All those tiny glimpses of alternate universes for my dorks in love!
Really, though, it all depends on DS, since they have the rights to the published works.
Oh, you made me want a thing I didn't know I wanted. Oh!

This question is inspired by, rather than about, your short story about the Firebird. I've read a number of versions of the folktale, but realized recently that I've never seen the ballet (not do I know what version of the story it tells). Do you happen to have a favorite version, or have a recommended stage performance that might be available on video?
