What gave you the idea for your upcoming book, "King's Ransom"?

Tabitha Ormiston-Smith That's an interesting question, Chris, and I'm sorry I didn't respond to it sooner. The idea came out of a conversation I had at lunch one day. My friend was talking about history, and how our perceptions of historical characters are forced on us by the views of those who write the history books. I started to think about King John and how reviled he is, and the idea came to me that he could be presented in a completely different light. The whole of King's Ransom grew out of that.
