As an aspiring author, I have questions about benefit books. Would you recommend including benefit books in writing plans from when a person get published or waiting until they are an established writer? What's the best way to choose a cause for benefit book proceeds to go to? I'm in New Zealand so while many of the causes may be similar everywhere many charitable organisations may not be international.

Hi Lyn,
I think for a new writer, her concentration should probably be on building her career, her name recognition, and her audience. Once she's more established, it'd be terrific to choose a few charities to help. I select from my own community. Personally, I feel like the big-name organizations get contributions from everywhere, but the smaller, more local causes struggle more. I like to help in my own hometown. :-)
Hope that make sense and thanks for the question!

Love your books! And I loved the Servant series, before I was amazed to find out you wrote it! I was sure it was the next biggest thing! But it didn't get much attention? I hope that you can publish more soon! And that the Servant series and (hopefully) new novels will get the attention (marketing) that is deserved? The series is different but it still has that same special Lori F. something.

Love your books and am about to start reading your Fighter series because I somehow missed them (blasphemy, I know!) But I was wondering if you can get the computer from "Weird Science" and make Rowdy Yates real for me? I do believe that he is my favorite of all your men and that's saying a lot because you've created some serious Alpha hotness over the years :) How do you choose what you'll write about next?
