J. Else
J. Else asked Kristin D. Van Risseghem:

What is the earliest story you remember reading? What impact did it have on you, then and as a writer today?

Kristin D. Van Risseghem Hello! Thank you for the question. Man, I have to think on that and go way back. I think my first book was "Where the Sidewalk Ends". Remember that one? But the first story had to be Laura Ingell's Wilder series. Loved the books and of course the TV show (I still watch them when I come across them).

Back then I wasn't dreaming of being a writer, I read to read. But now that I am a writer (and still a reader), I'm sure everything influenced me. I bet reading a ton impacts me still and probably has something to do the creative juices. Could I pinpoint exactly? I doubt it.
