Everything. :) Seriously, inspiration is all around. Often times I see a situation/story and wonder "How would the Amish handle that situation?" Then it goes on from there. I keep a file with bits and pieces of ideas as they come, a character, a description, a what if? plot idea. When I need to propose a new book or series to my editor, I go there first and see what still strikes me as inspiring. Even if something doesn't make me go hmmmm...the second time around, I never erase any of those notes.
