Goodreads asked Ken Scholes:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Ken Scholes Writer's block and I are old friends. Three things can help if it's the variety that doesn't just involve time sorting things out (some life events like deaths and divorces are hard to write through.) But these are just good principles to follow. First, regular muse care and feeding -- whatever good stories Leroy wants to consume (books, movies, TV, games, etc.) Second, Ken care and feeding -- getting rest, eating healthy, exercising, hydrating and staying engaged in my recovery. Third, establishing a daily habit of writing whether or not I'm on a project (I fail at this one consistently but still think it's a useful tool and work toward it.) I highly recommend Bane's Around the Writer's Block and Pressfield's War of Art.
