I got the idea for my recent book Mona Lisa's Secret, after watching a documentary on Vincenzo Perrugia, the man who stole the Mona Lisa in 1911. I couldn't believe that he had held onto the painting in his Paris apartment for two long years. I knew then, there was a story to be written.
