Goodreads asked Bronwen Chisholm:

How do you get inspired to write?

Bronwen Chisholm This kinda goes hand in hand with the question about writer's block. Reading inspires me. It is actually how I started writing in the first place. I was reading while waiting for my kid's football and cheer practices to end and the book was not that good. I thought "I could do better than this." That thought turned over and over again for about a week or two until I decided I would give it a try.
That is not to say that just bad writing inspires me, lol. When I read a book that sucks me in to the point I am crying and laughing with the characters, it makes me want to be able to do that for someone else.
I also love walking outdoors and letting my mind wander. I walk through a woods and I wonder who else has been down that path and why and what they were feeling. Pretty soon, a story has started.
