I write for a living, so the inspiratation to write comes natural. Writing my own historical fiction book, and now a series, was inspired by helping a Vietnam veteran with a book of stories about his life. I was inspired to write and try in some way to preserve the history of the Greatest Generation, which has always been a favorite of mine. My grandfather served in World War II, and I've always been fascinated with it. The fever just spread from there.
