Assaf: Thanks for the kind words. I really appreciate it. I suppose the answer depends on whether you read it in English or Hebrew. My latest novel, The Girl in Green, is now out in English with Faber and Faber. The American edition, Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, will come out in January in hard cover. So far, no plans to publish this second novel in Hebrew, but who knows. It is a long and winding road when it come to international translations. As for the ending … it had to be. Right? The ending for me was the anchor of the novel. Warm wishes from Oslo.

Just finished Norwegian by Night after reading The Girl in Green earlier this year. I love your storytelling and the weaving of international politics and military topics into the stories. As a veteran, I appreciate your humor and the often contradictory and complex interests. Keep the books coming! What are you working on now?

Mr. Miller - how can you be so doggone funny? I am highlighting the great quips by Sheldon Horowitz in Norwegian Nights with delight. Derek Miller does not seem like a Jewish name to me, but you captured the mentality of my father's people. These are good times to laugh, and I suggest this is a theme in the book. Well done.
