Dear Mr Swallow, I'm delighted to inform you that I have managed to read 14 chapters of your first "original" (non tie in with existing media franchise) spy novel NOMAD and I'm loving it immensely. I've written half the review. A question, I detect a lot of spiritual similarities with Three Days Of The Condor. Were you inspired that film when writing your own book?

James Swallow "Condor" is a great movie; I do enjoy those 70's conspiracy thrillers - "The Parallax View", "All The President's Men", "Capricorn One" and "The Conversation" are all great examples of those kind of films that I've enjoyed. There's certainly an influence from those stories on my own writing.

Hi James! Got around to reading 'Ghost' at last and loved it. I commend you for touching on the violent, sleazy history of the South Korean intelligence services, who are still very sleazy. My question is what inspired you to include that sort of thing when most thrillers revolving on the Peninsula treat the more complex realities regarding the ROK and South Korea as a mere afterthought?
