What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Aruna Nambiar Firstly, get started. It’s very easy to talk about it, but you have to put in the hours. Second, take pride in your work – don’t just churn out something for the sake of it – aim to have a layered plot, well-etched characters, beautifully written lines. Be critical about your own work and rewrite and edit as long as it takes to produce something you are satisfied with.
