Goodreads asked D. Renee Bagby:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

D. Renee Bagby Writer's block for me means one of two things:

#1 Outside stress -- Something that has nothing to do with the book and everything to do with real life things such as family drama or health issues. Until the thing (whatever it is) is resolved, the block will remain because I'll be distracted.

#2 Burn out -- I binge write. Eventually my brain needs a break and tells me so in the easiest way possible -- no more writing. This is a time thing. I just have to wait it out and let my brain recharge by doing anything and everything else besides be on my computer trying to write. It might take a month or two but I know I'll be writing up a storm when I get back to it, so I just let it happen and go with it.
