(More of a general writer question than a direct question about your [spoilers removed] books) How do I find a good editor? I have a work in progress series that a friend and I are writing that we need help editing. Everyone we know that has experience with editing says they'll, but they never do. Any tips? This would be our first time trying to publish anything, together or individually.

Shannon Messenger Sadly, I'm not much help with this, since I chose to go the traditional route for publishing (meaning I chose to get an agent and have that agent shop my books to traditional NY publishers). So I never had to hire an editor--my books were sold to an editor at Simon & Schuster and I've been working with them ever since. And I wouldn't want to risk giving wrong information, so the best I can suggest is some very thorough googling?
