Avinash asked Karthik Laxman:

Hi Karthik, first of all a regular reader of UnRealTimes and all the posts over there. Loved Unreal Elections. Got hold of Aliens today and eager to read it and hope to do it in a single sitting. My question is what was difficult, who were more co-operative? Getting aliens into the characters list of your second book or getting colorful politicians into the first?

Karthik Laxman Hi Avinash, thank you for the kind words! :) Nice question! Getting the politicians wasn't that hard, as I've been doing it all this time. There's not much of character development that I have to do with these characters. We already have an image of these real life persons. I only have to exaggerate some characteristics and caricaturise some others. The alien character is completely new, but if you notice, the book doesn't spend much time on his story, thoughts and feelings. It's treated pretty superficially as the focus is on the politicians, the humorous situations and the fast paced narrative. So didn't have to work that hard to get either of them to cooperate! :)
