Do you have any advice you might give for an aspiring self-publishing Fantasy novelist? Of course, answer this question in any manner you like, but I would be more interested in the post-writing aspects of publishing/marketing. When you were first starting out, what do you do to get your work in front of people?

Jeff Wheeler I know when I started self-publishing, I too had the same question. What I realize now is there is a step between writing and publishing/marketing. Most authors I know (self-pubbed and otherwise) go through extensive editing services. I would never publish a book now without that crucial process. I'd encourage you to check out my e-zine Deep Magic at www.deepmagic.co -- in it, we feature writing craft articles and interviews. In the October issue we have stuff from a literary agent and a professional development editor (or "dev editor" in the business). Their advice is golden and worth looking into. I may publish a book someday about my writing advice. There are lots of questions out there. You aren't the only one who wants to know more.
