Hi. You are my favourite author and I love the unwanteds series!! I have two questions........... 1- Where did you get the idea of pirate island ( how it sinks underwater and comes back up again), and Karkinos ( how it is a crab)?????????? 2- I am currently reading book 5 and I was wondering, if you end up writing another series of the unwanteds, would Alex get married and have kids with Sky, Lani, or nobody?

Lisa McMann I'm not sure exactly how I get the ideas for the different islands. I knew that I needed them to be different from each other and unique in their own way so that I could talk about them more easily. But I had to do a lot of thinking about what would make each place unique and intriguing.

You will have to keep reading to the end, and then read the first book in the Unwanteds Quests series to find out the answer to your question about Alex. :) It will go on sale Feb 7.

I'm not all the way through book 7, so this question may be answered in the book, but I was wondering, what is up with Queen Eagla and Mr. Today? Queen Eagla mentioned "her brother's people" to the pirates. Is this brother Mr. Today, and is she another sister or Justine? Or was she referring to Alex instead, since Mr. Today died? Thanks very much! You're an amazing author and I love your books so much. :)
