I am an aspiring writer and just want to say that your works are some of the ones that have boosted my want to write. Your are amazing! Especially love Atlantis and Alien Huntress. My question to you is, how do you work passed the critique monsters in your own mind and keep writing? I'm still researching and that monster keeps popping up saying my idea isn't good enough. Any suggestions to beat it down?

Gena Showalter I write for an audience of one :) I learned a long time ago I can't please every reader. What someone loves, another person hates. Trying to please everyone only ends in disaster. I write what I love, and hopefully my passion for the story and characters shines through!

Hi Gena! I have one more question for you. I'm sorry if I was supposed to only ask one! But I just finished a novel and my word count is over 100,000 words; will some publishing companies and editors/agents not accept my work if it's over that? If so, any ideas on ways to trim a novel without taking out the important parts? Thank you so much, again!
