How long had the Lords been living in your head before you decided to put them down on paper? What made it all click for you that it was time to introduce them to the world.

I'd had an idea about an immortal male dying one night only to awaken the next morning knowing he had to die again for...maybe a year? I put the idea on the back burner because I wasn't sure what to do with it. Then came contract time, and I HAD to give my publisher an idea or I wouldn't be selling a book. I pitched the above to my agent and she said what I suspected: You need more. So I had to sit down and start playing the What If and Why game. What if this happened? Why does it happen? That is when the backstory was born :)
