I love the Lords of the Underworld, not just the series, but the characters as individuals. When you published Darkest Night you introduced us to a band of not-so-merry warriors with dark sides and the courageous yet forgiving women who won them over. What inspired you to resurrect Baden?

Gena Showalter Baden was such a big part of the Lords of the Underworld series -- everyone who knew him loved him -- and yet he remained in the background. I liked the idea of the Lords getting their friend back...but he wasn't the same man, he'd changed. Added a deeper layer of tension!
